A Unique Approach to Body Prayer
In 2000 Daniel Lally and Jeff Baugher began combining their twelve thematic movements with mindfulness, prayer and sacred wisdom to create a unique new experience of body prayer and meditation in motion. Watch a short and sweet example below of The Serenity Prayer.

One you are familiar with our twelve movements, this form of body prayer is really a simple process: 1) identify the simple theme or themes in one of your favorite prayers or wise sayins; 2) find one or more of our movements to match; 3) perform the movement while thinking or saying aloud the prayer. A deeper step that I developed from my training in Hakomi body-centered psychotherapy is to slow down, move into mindfulness and deepen my experience of the body prayer. The deeper underlying question - that often goes unasked - is, "What happens in your body when you pray? What are the subtle sensations that happen in your body? Where do you feel stronger? Weaker? These subtle, integrative cues can deeply enrich your experience of the prayer, and help you to connect deeply with your spiritual ideal.
